Day 12 of 31 Days of Halloween - Countdown to Halloween - Challenge #3

During October you will see many Halloween-y projects on my blog as I am joining in with

Leigh has also got a Challenge together with the hop

LeighSBDesigns 31 Days of Halloween Hop+Challenge 2021

The Challenge is specifically for makes involving Leigh's images or svgs
So I will add this page as my third Challenge entry

Find Leigh's main post here

So let's celebrate Halloween!!

As usual I will add a daily retro Halloween postcard from Vintage Image Craft. This was illustrated circa 1912 by Grace Wiederseim, the creator of the Campbell Kids.

In this post I would like to share more of my main project for this October. It is a Halloween album. I had 4 sheets of Graphic 45 paper in my stash so I used this first. But my album will end up with images from Leigh, Gecko Galz and many more...

Today's page involves a Gelli pull, like I used in these two:

The first layer is a Vicki Boutin paper.

On the lower part you can see one of Leigh's sentiments which are scattered through my book.

The background to the trees is a Gelli pull using acrylic paint (including gold) and a junk stamp that I had made from bottle tops.

I have used the second background along in this picture.

To make the top part I put the background in my printer and printed this terrific image.

I trimmed this to a square, adding vintage photo Distress Ink around the edges.

It is Furness Forest Winter Treescape

I will be sharing this page on Leigh's linky

And as always I like to add the skeletons hopping!

Happy Hopping!

  1. Did you print right onto the acrylic gelli print? I want to paint the background for this image of Leigh's but I wasn't sure it it would work! Anyhoo, this is gorgeous! Spooky with the sentiment but also totally gorgeous! Fabulous page!

    1. Yes I did print straight onto the gelli print. I just put the page into the rear feed of my printer and left it at least overnight to dry thoroughly.
